Match Preview Liverpool vs Napoli

Liverpool are in desperate need of another magical UEFA Champions League (UCL) night at Anfield.After suffering yet another devastating loss over the weekend, going down 2-1 against Leeds to put an end to their 15-game unbeaten run at home (W11, D4).

Liverpool will entertain Napoli on Tuesday at Anfield for an UEFA Champions League group stage match, between two in-form teams who have already clinched a place in the knockout round.

Klopp will now embark upon his 100th UCL managerial appearance, becoming the first German coach to reach the milestone.A victory to mark that landmark occasion would be welcomed.

The first group stage fixture between the clubs saw Napoli win 4-1 at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on 7 September. In their last six matches in all competitions, Liverpool have won four and lost two. They scored 13 and conceded four over that period, scoring first in three of the six contests. They had four first-half goals, while their opponents netted two times in the first 45 minutes.

Napoli have won each of their last six. They scored 19 and conceded five over that stretch, netting first in five of the six. They had nine goals in the first half, while their opponents netted only one before the break.
